William Fields
William Fields was born in 1940 in Winston Salem NC and lives in the home he grew up in - a quiet modest home densely packed with altars, mantles of eastern religious figures, the walls covered in with paintings.
His gentle manner belies the intensity of his fantastic works - 50 years of visionary depictions of spirits that populate his life long studying spiritual traditions that draw from many sources including Saivism, Tibetan Buddhism and the Western Hermetic Tradition.
His self taught works have been featured in the American Visionary Art Museum, SECCA and the recent show Jupiter Optimus Maximus where he shares the stage with artists Robert Ruckman and Samuel Allen Taylor.
These jewels are smaller format drawings, beautifully framed and wonderful examples of his mystical and spiritual works.
