At the age of eight, after receiving “a message from God”, and eventually became a street preacher who traveled throughout America preaching in small churches and on street corners. He remained an attraction on the revival circuit, teaching himself to draw and to play piano and guitar. When he fell ill in the 70’s, he returned to his native Virginia where he spent two decades transforming his family home into “Faith Mission” that he decorated from floor to ceiling with portraits and visionary images.
